  • Male gynecomastia (gynecomastia) is an increase in mammary gland tissue in boys or men that results from an imbalance between the hormones estrogen and testosterone. Gynecomastia may affect one or both breasts, sometimes unevenly.

Newborns, boys of puberty and older men may develop gynecomastia due to normal changes in hormone levels, although there are other causes as well.

Generally speaking, gynecomastia is not a serious problem, but it can be difficult to cope with it. Sometimes boys and men with gynecomastia feel breast pain, and they may feel embarrassed.
